"Sweet science" is a term used to describe the sport of boxing, particularly emphasizing the skill, artistry, and strategic elements involved. It goes beyond just the physical power and emphasizes the balance, timing, and tactical approach that boxers use to excel in the sport. As a form of fitness and exercise, boxing is excellent for all round conditioning. No experience is needed and we welcome all levels of fitness to a nonjudgmental, safe and encouraging community.~Classes are 60 minutes in length and (no one gets punched). This is a non contact class.

We offer a variety of programs to fit your needs, including group classes, private training, and semi-private training. Each workout is unique in its own way and may incorporate a variety of exercises including heavy bag striking, rope work, striking mitts and core work to combine cardio exercise with strength conditioning. It improves speed, endurance, and flexibility, as well as muscle growth. The training part of boxing is also incredibly safe and injury free if done with proper form and, again, non contact.A boxer does not punch with hands alone; a boxer uses the entire body. The power for the punch comes from every muscle in the body through a process called kinetic linking. This means our legs, glutes, hips, core, back, shoulders, chest and arms link to create power in that small 4-6 inch area of the fist. This, while encouraging proper form and technique, makes for a safe and fun workout.Gloves and hand wraps are available for borrow and purchase.
